The round subscreen of the monochrome Garmin Instinct becomes a face that shows your Body Battery: a broad grin above 80, a smile above 60, a neutral look in the middle, tired eyes below 30 and crossed eyes at 10 or less. Under it, a bold single-line 24-hour time, the weekday and date, the score itself, heart rate, watch battery and a ten-segment Body Battery bar. Nothing is invented: no recent sample means a question mark and “BB --”.

Your energy, at a glance
A score you can read from across the room
Body Battery is a number between 0 and 100. Mood Meter turns it into an expression in the subscreen, so a glance tells you whether it is a big-day day or a take-it-easy day — no need to read the digits.
Honest thresholds
The five bands are design choices, not medical categories: grin above 80, smile above 60, neutral in the middle, tired below 30, crossed eyes at 10 or less. The exact score is always printed next to the face and on the ten-segment bar.
No fresh data, no guessing
The face reads the newest Body Battery sample from the watch and rejects anything older than fifteen minutes. If there is nothing valid, it shows a question mark and “BB --” instead of a pretend value.
Bold time, quiet dashboard
A single line of big Archivo-based numerals carries the 24-hour time; weekday, date, heart rate and watch battery sit in small caps around it. Switch the whole dial to a white background if you prefer.
