Night Patrol
A black-and-white military watch face for the monochrome Garmin Instinct: big original stencil digits stack the 24-hour time on the left, the round subscreen holds a battery ring, and a compact column shows the day, date, heart rate and altitude. The footer is real UTC, computed from your watch, not a fixed offset. One setting flips the whole dial to a white background.

Built for the night shift
Read it in the dark
Two rows of big stencil digits fill the left of the screen, drawn with fonts made for this face — no anti-aliasing to smear on a monochrome MIP panel. Local time is always 24-hour, whatever the watch setting.
UTC that is actually UTC
The footer shows universal time computed from the watch clock, so it stays right across time zones and daylight-saving changes. Tactical abbreviations stay English on every watch.
The subscreen does one job
The round window on the Instinct is a battery gauge: a segmented ring that fills one dot per full five percent, plus the exact percentage. No flicker, no animation.
Honest sensors, light on power
Heart rate and altitude come from the watch sensors, with a five-minute history fallback; no reading shows “--”, never a demo value. Nothing runs in the background, so the face costs almost nothing in battery.
