How to install Wear OS watch faces on Galaxy & Pixel Watch
Downloading a face and making it your active face are two separate steps. Use this guide for Galaxy Watch models running Wear OS and Google Pixel Watch; older Samsung watches running Tizen use a different system.
Before downloading
Check the face’s Play Store listing against your exact watch and software version. Keep the watch connected and use the Google account that owns the purchase. A product being visible in the phone’s store does not by itself establish that your watch is compatible.
Install on the watch
- Open Google Play on your watch and search for the exact face or developer.
- Open the listing, review compatibility and the displayed price, then choose Install or purchase.
- Wait for the download to finish. If you started on the phone, confirm the destination is your watch rather than only the phone.
Apply on Galaxy Watch
Touch and hold your current face, browse the available faces and use Add watch face if the new one is not in your favorites. Select it to apply. You can also open Watch faces in Galaxy Wearable on the paired phone. Installing a phone companion does not automatically select the watch face.
Apply on Pixel Watch
Touch and hold the current face and browse the gallery. Select the new design, or open Watch faces in the Pixel Watch phone app and choose Use on watch. If it is missing, check the watch-side installation before buying it again.
Set up the data after installation
Open Customize or Edit and choose colors and complication providers. A blank slot can simply mean that no provider is selected. Test with a simple field such as the date before investigating a weather or fitness provider.
If the download is complete but nothing changes
Check the account, destination device and Add watch face gallery. Restart normally if the gallery has not refreshed, then check for updates. Keep any error message and the watch model when contacting support; a factory reset is not a sensible first step.
