Design your own — Custom1

Set it up here, see exactly what you will get, then move it to your watch with a single code. No file to download, no cable, no computer — the whole thing works from your phone.

Get Custom1 on Connect IQ Install the base face first — everything below just tells it how to look.

75 quadrillion set-ups from nine data slots, two palettes, eight backgrounds and the time controls — 75,101,803,500,404,736 to be exact. One face in the store covers every one of them; the code just says which.

Your watch

Custom1 runs on 32 AMOLED models, from a 360 px Forerunner to the rectangular Venu X1. The preview is drawn at your model’s real resolution and shape, at a fixed scale — so a smaller watch genuinely looks smaller here, and the layout shifts the way it will on the wrist.

Data fields

Nine positions around the dial. Set any of them to None to leave it clean.

Colours

Accent drives the move-bar marks on the bezel; the second row is the big time digits.

Background

Every background is a deep tone on purpose: this face draws light text, and a lit screen costs real battery on AMOLED. Always-on stays pure black whatever you pick — Garmin dims a face that lights more than about a tenth of the display.

Your code

Sixteen characters. Copy it, then paste it into Garmin Connect.

  1. Install WatchFaceKit Custom1 from the Connect IQ Store.
  2. Open Garmin Connect → your device → Connect IQ AppsWatch Faces → Custom1 → Settings.
  3. Paste the code into Config code and save. It syncs over Bluetooth.

If the watch reports invalid code, a character was dropped in copying — paste it again. Everything you set here can still be changed by hand on the watch afterwards.

Already have a code?

Paste it back in to keep editing where you left off.

The preview is drawn from the same geometry the watch uses, so what you see is what lands on your wrist. Fonts differ slightly between a browser and Garmin's renderer, so letter widths can shift by a hair.
